Print SSRS reports using Edge browser

Description

We are forced to use IE compatibility mode on the new Edge browser since IE is going away. Some reports do not show in IE mode but show in native mode. However, in native mode there is no icon to print.  These instructions will show you how to print an SSRS report if there is no print button in the toolbar.

Instructions

Click the Save As icon in the toolbar. 

Choose PDF from the list of formats.

The PDF will be downloaded to your computer. The downloads button shows you the file.

Click Open file.

From the PDF preview you will find the ?️ Print icon where the report can be printed.



There is a question raised -- can't I right-click and choose "print"? You can, but it will be a web-page printout and not the formatted report. Your printout will include the title bars, scroll bars, etc. that do not show in the PDF format.
