Some of our QlikView documents rely on QlikView macros to function. The first time you open a document that uses macros there is an opportunity to allow macros. If you receive an error message that looks similar to this that usually means you have clicked to block rather than allow macros.
You can reset the Macro security by doing the following:
- Open QlikView deskop.
- Open the document that is blocked for running macros.
- Press [CTRL] [SHIFT] M to change module security.
- Set the option to Give System Access to Module Script.
- Click [OK].
- Try to run the operation again.
Force reset
If QlikView keeps prompting to block security and you need to reset the security each time you open a document, you will need to force QlikView to setup from scratch. That is done by deleting the INI file in local appdata:
%appdata%\QlikTech\QlikView\settings.ini
Note: by deleting this file you will lose your history of servers that you have connected to as well as your recent and favorite documents. You should make note of these documents before deleting the file.
